Q Legacy
"Q" stands for Quest—a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery.
The history of the organisation is far more interesting than you may realise. Believe it or not, Q’s roots trace back to an evangelical Pentecostal church. For over 30 years, our community existed with the foundational beliefs of that tradition, but something powerful began to emerge as we experienced both personal and collective transformation.
Our story took a profound turn as we began a process of deep reflection and questioning, which led us to re-examine everything we thought we knew about faith, community, and ourselves. This transformation was not easy, but it was necessary. It was a journey of deconstruction, not of rejecting faith, but of breaking down the barriers that limited our understanding of what faith could truly be. It was a reawakening—a realization that our beliefs could evolve and that true faith was about embracing authenticity, love, and connection rather than rigid doctrines.
The journey wasn’t just theoretical. It was personal. Both of Q’s founding leaders, Anth and Chris Chapman, faced profound personal hardships that forced them to re-evaluate their entire worldview. For both, life’s struggles—whether emotional, relational, or spiritual—pushed them to confront their long-held beliefs and examine their faith at its core. These challenges became catalysts for their transformation, leading them to question everything they thought they knew about God, purpose, and the nature of community. In their process of questioning and growth, they realized that the beliefs they once held didn’t necessarily provide the answers they needed anymore. In fact, it sometimes led to more questions than solutions. But in this space of questioning, they began to find a deeper sense of peace, freedom, and authenticity—ones that didn’t require perfect answers or adherence to a prescribed set of beliefs. Instead, they found a community that embraced vulnerability, the freedom to question, and the courage to explore without the fear of judgment or rejection.
From this journey emerged The Forum, a space where we invite people to come as they are and explore the vast, uncharted territory of life. We recognize that life isn’t always easy and is an ever unfolding story. The Forum is where we gather to ask the hard questions, challenge outdated paradigms, and build something new together. It’s about creating a community where authenticity is celebrated, where we support each other through life’s ups and downs, and where every person is encouraged to walk their unique path.
Q is the Quest. It’s a quest for deeper understanding that is alive, evolving, and meaningful. We’re forming something new, but not from scratch. We’re taking the lessons of the past, challenging what no longer serves us, and rebuilding with an openness to the future. At Q, we’re not afraid to question, to challenge, or to grow.
We believe that the journey of transformation is just that—a journey. It’s not about having all the answers, but about seeking, learning, and discovering who we truly are along the way.
If you’re ready to embark on this quest with us, we welcome you to join us on this adventure of growth, authenticity, and community. Together, we can explore the depths of life, faith, and purpose—and create something meaningful and lasting that reflects the true essence of who we are.
